Awsome in French Press
This mate is bad if not prepared VERY carefully. The best way to prepare Tranquera is in a french press or coffee maker: I soaked the yerba for 30 minutes in room temperature water. I put the contents in a coffee pot and turned it on, expecting to taste a sour, bitter and nasty soup, what I got instead was wonderful flavors of CHOCOLATE and MALT with just enough bitterness to round out the flavor. This is a great yerba in a coffeepot or french press. MAKE SURE to pre soak the yerba for up to 30 minutes to prime the flavour.

Tranquera
In the same zone as Taragui as far as taste and potency. NOT for beginners

Fresh and no flavor contamination
La tranquera is my favorite Yerba Mate, but only orders normally have 2 issues: Product is close or past expiration date and it can pick up flavors from other items. The product shipped from Pampa Direct had neither. Thanks! One comment for first timers: The products ship from Argentina. I almost get a heart attack when I realized this. However it shipped and arrived within the promised window, even during the chaotic times we currently have.

Delicious Argentine yerba
La Tranquerea is a delicious Argentine yerba. It is best suited for hot yerba but it also tastes great iced/cold as Terere.

Strong and bitter
Pretty strong and bitter, but it's not soo rich in flavor. Seemed to be quite popular in Baires. Solid option but not my first choice
