SYNOPSIS:
In The Seven Madmen, Arlt tells the story of Remo Erdosain, a man who is desperate due to his lack of money and is accused of defrauding the company where he works. Not only is he exposed and humiliated before his superiors, but he is also given a short deadline to repay the money. He asks his friend Ergueta for a loan, but he refuses to help. The same happens with Barsut, his wife's cousin. In his desperation, he decides to turn to the Astrologer, at whose house he meets Haffner, the Melancholic Ruffian, a trafficker who eventually lends him the money. What Erdosain does not know is that, at that moment, he will become part of a secret society with serious intentions to change the social order through a bloody revolution.
