Description

It is one of the softest pastes in the line due to its elasticity, recommended for taking the first steps in covering and decorating as it never completely dries, providing the necessary time to work with it and correct imperfections.

  • Ideal for: Covering tall or small cakes in normal to dry climates. It can also be used for flat decorations that are attached to the sides or top of cakes, with a mixture of Ballina Gum Paste or Ballina Flower Paste.

How to use

  1. Knead: Place a little cornstarch on the working surface. Activate the paste by gently kneading it with the warmth of your hands. Do not use powdered sugar.
  2. Shape: Roll out the paste with a rolling pin until you achieve the desired thickness.
  3. Cover: Cover the cake. If using chocolate ganache, apply edible glue or water to the cake before covering to ensure the paste adheres.

Tips

  • Mixtures: For 3D and traditional coverings without perfect edges, we suggest mixing with Ballina Gum Paste to obtain a firmer and drier paste.
  • Dyeing Ballina Cake Covering Paste: Mix with Ballina Colored Pastes Formula H or use edible gel or paste food coloring.
  • Recommendation: Incorporate in small quantities until the required shade is achieved.
