History of Milkaut and Adler Cheese (1925-)
Milkaut's history dates back to October 9, 1925 when the Asociación Unión Tamberos (AUT) was founded in Franck, Santa Fe province. There were only 29 dairy producers who, guided by the cooperative spirit, decided to group together to defend the fruit of his work. Since its foundation, AUT maintained a remarkable spirit of solidarity with dairy producers. It is precisely for this reason that since its inception it was aligned with several entities of the cooperative movement.
In 1926, the group of producers began to work in industrialization, at the beginning they dedicated themselves to separating cream from milk, opening the first cremería in the town of Las Tunas. The resulting product was mainly sent by FFCC to the city of Santa Fe where it was marketed by a private company.
Soon others were happening within the department of Las Colonias.
In March 1936 the commercial brand was born: Milkaut. From there, the cremerías were multiplying until reaching 22 in 1953.
In 1960 the company inaugurated a new plant in the city of Santa Fe; A year later, a cheese plant was purchased in Colonia Nueva.
In 1963 he began building the current industrial complex in the town of Franck. In 1977, it acquired a pasteurization plant in Resistencia, province of Chaco, to supply the entire Argentine northeast.
This is how in August 1993 they built the first WPC plant (Whey Protein Concentrate) in Argentina, the first and so far only lactose production plant.
In 1995 he inaugurated a new industrial plant for Long Life Milk (UHT). That same year, in order to adapt to the national and international context of the agri-food industry, where there is a tendency towards globalization of production and commercialization, Unión Tamberos Coop Association. Ltda. Took a very important step: it created Milkaut S.A., adopting a scheme that combined Asociación Unión Tamberos Coop. Ltda. For the face of primary production (which retained the assistance service to its associates) and Milkaut S.A. for the industrial and commercial stage. Towards the end of the same year, a new Powder Milk processing plant began operating in response to the need to channel the increase in production received from the partners.
In 1997 he inaugurated a new yogurt processing plant in Franck, with the most modern technology. Also in that year the Long Life Milk (UHT) plant in San Luis and the Grated Cheese Plant in Chamical, province of La Rioja is built.
In 1999, Milkaut launched one of the first plants in the world - and only in America - that produces Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC). Also for those years, the company expands by presenting for the first time a second brand: Fransafé.
This brand is also used for the sale of milk, creams, dulce de leche and cheeses. Like Milkaut, the name Fransafé is also an acronym, in this case of the town where the central house is located: Franck, Santa Fe.
In 2013 the company added a new production line that allowed import substitution for 10 million dollars annually.
